MAIN CAMP

The heart of our farm is the High Africa Main Camp, a welcoming hub built for connection and community. Set on the scenic banks of the Breede River, the camp features wide, green lawns perfect for high-energy group activities, as well as dedicated spaces for evening campfires and reflection around the boma. The Main Camp is the perfect home for your camp adventure.

How many people does the Main Camp sleep?

The Main Camp sleeps up to 80 students in eight en-suite chalets, plus 6 educators in the separate Sugar Loaf accommodation.

What are the chalets like?

Each of the eight identical chalets sleeps 10 people in five double bunk beds and has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. The wooden chalets offer a comfortable, practical base for groups.

Where do teachers or group leaders stay?

Teachers and group leaders stay in Sugar Loaf, which sleeps 6 educators across three units, each with two single beds. Two units have en-suite bathrooms, and the third has a bathroom directly next door, giving educators a comfortable, private space close to their group.

What facilities are available at the Main Camp?

The camp features "The Deck", an elevated lounge with sweeping river views mostly used by teachers, a boma for evening campfires and dining, a spacious multipurpose hall and wide open lawns for group activities.

Can we combine the Main Camp with another camp for larger groups?

Yes. For larger groups, the High Africa Main Camp can be combined with the Under the Blue Gums Camp, the @The River Camp or other accommodation options. Contact us with your numbers, and we'll recommend the best setup.
