The River House® is a spacious 8-bedroom country-style lodge for up to 16 guests, complete with a bar, pool and vine-covered courtyard, perfect as a central celebration space. Right next door, The Other House® offers modern, contemporary comfort for up to 18 guests, with a high-ceilinged lounge opening onto a large veranda. For smaller, more intimate gatherings, @The River is a stunning 3-bedroom guest lodge for up to 6 guests, surrounded by tranquil gardens.

Each lodge sits on the banks of the Breede River, offering a peaceful, exclusive escape that feels both indulgent and effortlessly relaxed. For larger celebrations, the lodges can be combined to keep family and friends close together.

What types of private functions do you host?

We host a wide range of celebrations, including milestone birthdays, family reunions, anniversaries and exclusive gatherings. Whether you're planning a relaxed get-together or a more formal occasion, we'll help you create an event that suits your style.

Can our guests stay overnight?

Yes. We can accommodate up to 208 guests at High Africa.  In addition to all the different types of accommodation offered at High Africa, our luxury River House Collection includes The River House® (up to 16 guests), The Other House® (up to 18 guests) and @The River (up to 6 guests).

Do you provide catering for functions?

Yes. Our catering team prepares delicious, home-style meals tailored to your event, from relaxed riverside braais to formal sit-down dinners. We also cater for a wide range of dietary requirements, so just let us know when you book.

We're on the banks of the Breede River near Worcester, just 90 minutes from central Cape Town. It's an easy drive for guests, yet it feels a world away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
