At High Africa, our school camps are built on the belief that the most powerful learning happens through hands-on experience and shared challenge. Learners take part in a wide range of expertly facilitated activities, from the focus and balance required on the Cargo Net and Balancing Beam, to the teamwork and problem-solving demanded by The Snake Pit and The Minefield.
Each session is carefully designed to stretch personal boundaries in a safe, controlled environment, helping learners build confidence, resilience, and trust while having an unforgettable amount of fun along the way.
Set directly on the banks of the Breede River, High Africa gives learners a unique opportunity to connect with nature through water-based adventure. Working in teams, students learn to read the river as they paddle 2-Man Inflatable Canoes or take part in our high-energy Canoe Relay Races, where coordination and communication are key.
Whether enjoying a relaxed 7 km gentle stretch or taking on a longer river journey, these experiences are designed to build teamwork, confidence and a genuine appreciation for the natural environment.
Alongside the high-adrenaline adventures, our fun games are designed to break down social barriers and bring groups together through shared laughter and friendly competition. Activities such as Human Foosball, Frisbee Golf and Volleyball keep energy levels high while creating an easy, inclusive atmosphere.
These light-hearted challenges are ideal for building new friendships and strengthening existing bonds, all within a relaxed, chilled-out riverside setting where learners can simply be themselves.
At High Africa, the safety and well-being of every learner come first. Our 12-hectare riverside property is managed by a team of professional, experienced facilitators trained in strict safety procedures and first aid suited to the river environment.
From carefully inspected equipment to on-site supervision and round-the-clock support, every detail is in place to ensure a safe, well-managed experience. This gives teachers and parents complete peace of mind while allowing learners to focus fully on personal growth, connection, and the unforgettable experience of a High Africa camp.
